Little Movers
This event will take place in person at Woodstock Library.
Join us to hear stories, sing songs, and get those wiggles out as you help your active child build important early learning skills. Discover ways to promote early literacy at home and meet other caregivers in the neighborhood. Best for new walkers, toddlers/or children at this developmental stage.
July 8: Ice Cream Handprint
Cool off with a sweet twist on handprint art with an ice cream handprint craft! Children can dip their hands in paint to create colorful “scoops” atop an ice cream cone made from paper or cardboard, adding sprinkles and decorations for extra flair. This hands-on activity not only captures a moment of summertime fun but also encourages creativity and sensory exploration.
July 15: Paper Bag Jellyfish Craft
Dive into the depths of creativity with a paper bag jellyfish craft! Using simple materials like paper bags, paint, and streamers, kids can transform ordinary objects into whimsical underwater creatures. With dangling tentacles and googly eyes, this craft is both entertaining to make and delightful to display, sparking imagination and oceanic exploration.
July 22: Songs and Dancing
Turn up the music and let the little ones groove with a toddler dance party! With catchy tunes, simple moves, and plenty of room to wiggle, toddlers can bop and boogie to their heart’s content, promoting coordination and motor skills while having a blast.
