Futures of Repair

INTELLIGENT MISCHIEF launches Futures of Repair, a social dream space at the intersection of art, community, and collective imagination. Together with curator Mia Imani Harrison and six leading Afrofuturist Artists (Alisha B. Wormsley, American Artist, Ari Melencian, Nu Goteh, Rory Scott and Nu Goteh), the creative studio is exploring the future world made possible by Reparations and a burgeoning Culture of Repair.
On 2165 Earth, 125 years after a global wave of reparatory actions and initiatives, the world has been transformed to a place of healing, transformation and widespread repair. In this world, Black and Indigenous people are afforded the opportunity to repair relationships with themselves, their communities, systems of governance and economics, the land, the cosmos, and their ancestors and descendants yet to be born.
This future world is inspired by a series of six peoples assemblies.
Attendees of the social dream-space will interact with mutli-sensory, immersive art works and enjoy a selection of restorative tea blends, while being guided to dream, imagine, and connect with others.
This project is supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Liberation Ventures, and the Chorus Foundation.
The Futures of Repair dream space will be activated through:
