Fire Island Artist Residency Open Call for LGBTQ+ Emerging Visual Artists

Fire Island Artist Residency Welcomes Applications for the 2026 Summer Residency, with the application period now open through April 1.

Celebrating its 16th season on Fire Island in Cherry Grove, NY, Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR) is recognized for its prestigious and internationally renowned summer residency program for emerging visual artists identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex, two-spirit, or queer. LGBTQ+ emerging artists demonstrating new perspectives in contemporary visual art are encouraged to apply by April 1, 2026.
